Hello! I’m Romany and I joined the team at The Podiatry and Biomechanics Co in January 2025. I’ve moved from Canberra where I worked in private practice for a decade seeing all types of people and all types of feet. I graduated from a Bachelor of Podiatry with Honours from Charles Sturt University in Albury in 2013. My honours study was in biomechanics and I’ve continued to be fascinated by human locomotion. I love being able to help people learn about their bodies to become their own health expert and make positive changes in their lives. Whatever your movement goals are, I’ve got some tips to help you get there. As well as some exercises, stretches, padding and strapping techniques and footwear recommendations!
I offer the full scope of podiatry services and additionally I am an Endorsed Podiatrist. This enables me to prescribe a limited range of medications for foot conditions such as corticosteroid injections for inflammation and wart curettage surgery. I am experienced in nail and skin care including corns and callus debridement. I offer management and treatment for people with diabetes including check ups, education, wound care, and high risk foot pressure management with footwear and orthoses. I love working with kids whether it be skin lesions, nail problems or biomechanics. I live an active lifestyle and enjoy swimming, walking the dog, and gardening. I’m a beginner surfer and runner. I’ve worked with everyone from professional athletes overcoming foot pain to individuals living with chronic fatigue and long covid building up their movement from nothing. I really look forward to helping you with your foot problem at the Shellharbour clinic.
